Tom Trimbath

I was lucky enough to go to college the last year they had an analog computer inactive use, the last year they taught slide rule, the first year they required hand calculators, and the first year they allowed computer programming as a foreign language. I chose FORTRAN. My, how learning has changed. Yet, the changes were so tentative that few thought to record the process. Here are three of my stories from that time.

Slide Rules
PCs

Currently, I am project manager (program plans must be made, even if we don't have the money to pursue them - yet); but for such an nascent resource and with so few of us on task, inevitably we all work across a wide range of skills. Now though, I leave most of the coding to others.
